Danyang High-tech Zone, Zhenjiang City, successfully warned and resolved a dangerous building danger through BWSENSING Wireless Inclination Sensor, ensuring the safety of life and property of residents in Maxiangmen Community.

Successful warning, timely response

 

It is learned from the official report provided by Zhenjiang Zhongxiaoyun Internet of Things Technology Co., Ltd. that on February 25, 2024, the Yunyang Street Smart Fire Center of the High-tech Zone received a first-level warning signal from the dangerous building monitoring system in the northwest corner of Maxiangmen Community 1-3 Buildings. Monitoring data showed that the Y-axis deviation value reached 0.8495, exceeding the first-level warning threshold (≥0.7).

 

Due to snowfall the day before, the on-duty personnel could not go directly to the roof for review, and immediately dispatched a drone for on-site inspection. The drone shooting results showed that there were many cracks on the eaves wall, and the wall skin could fall off at any time, and the entrance and exit of Building 3 was directly below, which posed a great safety hazard.

 

Efficient disposal, eliminate risks

 

After receiving the early warning information, the Urban Construction Bureau and Zhongshan Road Community rushed to the scene. The investigation found that the wall at the eaves had begun to fall off, and there were debris on the ground.

 

In order to prevent the wall skin from falling off or even partial collapse from causing harm to residents, an emergency plan was immediately formulated and implemented on site: a shelter was set up above the entrance of Building 3 and other corresponding measures to prevent people from being hit. At the same time, the service center conducted online key supervision of the housing data at the site and arranged daily inspections to ensure real-time response to monitoring and early warning data.

After emergency treatment, at 15:44 in the afternoon of the same day, the monitoring data showed that the house had returned to safety, indicating that the danger had been successfully resolved.

Background of the monitoring project

 

Since June 2023, Danyang High-tech Zone has carried out a pilot project for dangerous building monitoring on 15 old buildings in Maxiangmen and Hebin New Village. The project uses advanced wireless tilt sensor technology from BWSENSING to monitor the tilt of buildings in real time, ensuring that potential risks are discovered at the first time.
